OUR COMMITMENT
In line with the school’s strategic plan, through the SER (Social and Environmental Responsibility) projects we aim for our students to understand that the decisions they make and their actions have an impact. We seek to develop them as conscious and empathetic individuals who can make a positive impact on other people and the planet.
This programme is aligned to the units of enquiry at each grade level, includes community projects and CAS (IB Creativity, Action and Service) and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the ideals of Round Square and the Duke of Edinburgh Award (International Award). The programme is enriched by additional activities that take place with Foundations with which students from all grades interact. These ideals are also developed through the global and experiential education programme which in turn exposes students to other communities and the great biodiversity found in our country.
TRAINING
Our students work on projects and meaningful experiences according to their age, which are articulated to the curriculum and their Community Project in grade 8 and to CAS in grades 10 and 11. These projects instil a sense of belonging and generate awareness.
COMMUNITY
We create projects that have an impact on the school community and on external communities selected by the school.
ANGLO COMMUNITY
Projects for the Anglo Community address the welfare needs of the people who work at the school by generating opportunities for employment, education and housing improvements among others.
EXTERNAL COMMUNITIES
The school makes a careful selection of foundations and partner organisations to develop different projects.
INSTITUTIONAL
Students are actively involved in initiatives that reinforce the coherence between what is promoted in class and the daily operation of the school. So we measure our carbon footprint, use solar energy and receive Green Flag certification.
